1. Why the body when it comes to leading and developing relationships

The body is the centre of everything we do, and hugely influential when we learn how to use it! In regards to an intended outcome, the way we stand, gesture, move and/or position ourselves to interact or relate to others is transformed by our physical body. Developing physical self-awareness, about how am I being? allows us to ask if this is helping or hindering? From here we can then CHOOSE do I need more or less of this?

2.They might see this skill as being TOO SOFT

Body intelligence (aka Embodied cognition) and the process I use are all back by science 

While some can be quick to write feelings and sensations off as too alternative or just not important Body intelligence (aka Embodied cognition) is a rapidly growing area of science. BI is the basis for emotional intelligence, emotional/energy control and relational intelligence, which experts now rank as more important for success - not to mention quality of relations and life - as more important than IQ - basic intelligence. 

The skill to develop internal confidence, motivation and influence (performance) while reducing stress, low mood and energy (well-being) are all connected to the physical body. By not considering the body, we miss out.


3. They may preexisting notation around ‘vulnerability’ something might come out that I’m not ready for?

This concern is totally understandable. We have been socialised to not know our body therefore not trust them. Perhaps something might surface and we are left feeling vulnerable? I hear that. Just like other forms of coaching and therapy, in our time together we will create a safe space to explore what feels right and wanting to emerge. We are only going to go where you feel ready and curious to go. 

4. Price expensive (Embodiment coaching is rapid)

Talk therapy can take months, if not years and still leave people feeling lost. 

Insight through body processes cut through the chaotic thinking mind. While the Body might take a moment more, it provides intuitive answers that are truly resonant and FEEL right, saving time and money.

Within our coaching period commitment we’ll create a bespoke program that by the end of the allotted time you will will walk away with new perspectives, strategies, mindset and deliberate practise so you can lead yourself.

5. How long is the investment (what is the commitment like)?

Coaching periods are for 3,6, and 12 months. The average coaching commitment is 6 months.

If at any time during the coaching period the coaching does feel right or the client wishes to terminate, their wishes will be respected and honoured for what feels intuitively right for them and their journey.

6. This feels like extra work and I don't have time for these ‘practices’?

Developing new habits is key to lasting change. Through embodied leadership coaching, you don't just get the cognitive understanding, you get exact practices and instruction that you can use immediately for 30-seconds a day to make change really happen. Practices can also be designed to be integrated into your existing daily routine and actions.

7. Why not therapy?

Great question. For some topics therapy will be the right modality, but if you are ready to get into action and make deliberate moves forward with action steps, embodied coaching is going to show you what and how to do it. Not just talk about it. 

Coaching in general is future oriented with the aim to bring a new, healthier embodied way of being for greater success, enjoyment and fulfilment. 

8. I don’t have the right body for this, do I need to be fit?

Nope, you do not need to be fit, If you have a body, that is all you need. 

During the somatic sections of the coaching will be noticing inside the body for feelings, sensations and/or images that might be arising. During the embodiment part we might be using postural alignment, body gestures (part/full) or very light flow movements that are accessible to all. 

In regards to raising heart rate the most you can expect is a 30-sec body shake-out, to energise the whole system if it feels appropriate. No more than that.
