Striving through her early years of setting up her own thing, business is now kicking and literally baby-booming

Let me introduce Jen Walpole and her work as a registered nutritional therapist specialising in fertility nutrition and women's health.

After 15 years of senior buying in the fashion industry, which is where we met. - I fondly remember our lunches together. Just us, talking about life topics of our 20’s: parties, heart-breaks, sharing music, art and our love of dancing - It was Jen's own health story that led her to the importance of nutrition. Combining self-learning and her love of cooking she created a healthy, balanced lifestyle for herself.

She retrained as a nutritionist in 2017 and is now a member of BANT (The British Association of Nutritional Therapists) and the CNHC  (Complementary and Natural Health Care Council). She’s the real deal!

Jen spirit is kind and nurturing, perfect to support the sensitive topics and personal journeys of hopeful future parents. Her positive and personalised approach focuses on the individual as a whole, delivering bespoke nutrition and lifestyle support. Holding considerations of health and well-being and also those of unique issues and concerns.

I know that with Jen we are in good hands! Within the last 12 months, under her care there have been 9 positive pregnancies and counting!

What is your mission?

To support as many couples or individuals on their fertility journey as possible - no matter what stage and by what means (natural or via IVF)- through bespoke nutrition, lifestyle and supplementation.

Why is it important to you?

By helping people have healthy pregnancies and babies we can impact on the health of future generations! It's pretty amazing and hugely rewarding especially when individuals or couples have struggled for some time. Nutrition is key.

What has been the toughest part so far?

The early stages of setting my business up and getting my name out there. I've also worked hard to build relationships with key brands and partners who share the same goals through the fertility journey. With dedication and time, positive client testimonials and referrals, it's now busy right through the year!

What keeps you going?

I love how varied my role is. From PR, marketing, meeting with brands to back-to-back clinic time supporting my clients.

Each fertility journey is different. Sometimes a lot of detective work is needed to uncover something significant for my clients to reach their goals. I love the challenge and its motivating for all involved.

How do we support WIB?

Share, share, share!

The real key to success was building a close network, a community that works with and supports each other. For me that was other fertility specialists.

What advice would you give others thinking of setting out on their path?

Just go for it! If you have a passion for something, then pursue it. Don't be put off by a ‘career change’. I found the business skills from my fashion days were really interchangeable!

With hard work and determination, anything is possible.

What would you like to share:

I offer a FREE 20 minute consultation.
